Prevention & Longevity: The Dawn of a New Paradigm for Health !

The first edition of the conference “Prevention & Longevity: Building the Healthcare System
of Tomorrow” was held at the Maison de la Chimie on April 4, 2025.
In the face of the decline of the traditional curative model and the surge of chronic
diseases, prevention and longevity now stand as the pillars of a much-needed
transformation of our healthcare system.

Innovation was at the heart of the discussions, whether through epidemiological
surveillance via wastewater analysis, the personalization of preventive measures using
genomics and epigenetics, or the use of artificial intelligence for more precise and effective
medical monitoring. Advances in biomarkers and ultra-personalized medicine pave the
way for predictive and targeted care, capable of delaying or even preventing the onset of
age-related diseases.
But technological innovation alone is not enough. The challenge is also economic: effective
prevention could generate substantial savings while improving citizens’ quality of life.

The regulatory framework, still too rigid, must evolve to facilitate access to innovation,
particularly in genomics, while ensuring safety and equity. The national acceleration
strategy for prevention, supported by unprecedented resources, demonstrates strong
political will to foster research and validate the impact of innovation on public health.

Finally, digital transformation, if guided ethically and inclusively, will enable the deployment
of preventive services for all, ensuring continuity of care and effective patient journey
management.

This first edition is not an end, but a beginning. It inaugurates an annual cycle of reflection
and collective action, essential to building a more resilient, sustainable, and humancentered healthcare system. Prevention and longevity are no longer options; they are
necessities in addressing the challenges of the 21st century.

See you in 2026, with the hope that this momentum will continue to shape health policies
and medical practices for years to come
