A Professor of Medicine and Biology of Aging at Lille University Hospital (CHU de Lille) and the University of Lille, he heads the University Department of Geriatrics and Biology of Aging within the Lille Faculty of Medicine.

He is the founder and academic director of the University Diploma “Longevity & Aging,” through which, alongside expert lecturers, he passes on cutting-edge knowledge and expertise to the new generation of health and biological sciences professionals. Eager to disseminate this knowledge as widely as possible, he has also developed a Complementary University Teaching Certificate, the “AUEC Aging Well,” designed to train healthcare professionals in identifying frailty and promoting its reversibility. onvinced that aging should not be viewed as an inevitable period of decline, he works to transform both perceptions of advancing age and the practices associated with it. Through his research, teaching, and clinical activities, he is committed to promoting positive aging and improving quality of life through innovative approaches. Deeply invested in the promotion of healthy, active, and positive aging, he serves as Medical Director of a unique prevention program developed in the Hauts-de-France region: tempoforme®, the Aging Well Pathway in Hauts-de-France. He champions the belief that aging well represents a new way of living, offering the opportunity to fully enjoy life at every stage.

Since January 1, 2026, he has been Director of the Joint Research Unit U1352 “BioPrev: Aging Well, from Inflammaging to Prevention,” a nationally accredited unit supported by Lille University Hospital, the University of Lille, the JUNIA School of Engineering, and INSERM. Through all of his commitments, he strives to sustainably change perceptions of aging and to enable everyone to grow older with vitality, purpose, and quality of life.
